What New Hampshire Means to Me

I'm a licensed cosmetologist and nail technician, working toward my Advanced Nail Technician certification. I once owned a one-person salon here in New Hampshire, and today I work as an independent nail technician.

Strafford is where I raised my family. That's why I'm running for State Representative. This state gave me a home worth protecting.

I moved to New Hampshire in 2009 to marry my high school sweetheart. He told me I'd love it here. I wasn't so sure at first — but he was right. Something about this state made me want to stay.

Our motto is Live Free or Die, and I've felt that here — a freedom I haven't found anywhere else, and a fierceness about protecting it. People are friendly, but they respect that your business is your own. Our quality of life isn't an accident. It's something we protect.

Fighting to Give Strafford Its Own Say

When Strafford's voice was getting lost in a larger district, I joined the fight to give our town its own say. It wasn't just about breaking away — it was about fiscal responsibility and making sure our schools reflected what our townspeople actually wanted for their kids.

We won. Today that's SAU 105.

I got involved by showing up — speaking at town and school meetings, cooking for our community kitchen, helping with church events, and bringing a parent-funded after-school Spanish program to our kids. Local control. Fiscal responsibility. The kind of liberty this state was built on.

Seventeen Years & Counting

It's the People and the Values

New Hampshire is beautiful — but that's not what's kept me here for seventeen years. It's the people. It's the values. It's knowing that if you show up and put in the work, this community meets you halfway.

My kids didn't grow up to think like me, and I'm proud of that. Their dad and I raised them to think for themselves. They love this state on their own terms — not because I told them to, but because they've chosen it. That's proof of what New Hampshire gives a person.

This is where I choose to be. Most years, it's still where I choose to vacation, too.
